Our Christmas 2019 appeal was an urgent response to Jeel Al Amal boys home in Bethany because it has been going through a financial crisis.

McCabe Educational Trust is committed to the long term support of this mixed school and Boys’ Home where Najwa Sahhar continues the work begun by her parents more than 35 years ago.

Jeel al Amal does not receive any Government support and McCabe pilgrims are the charity’s main benefactors. Salaries had not been paid for two months and we didn’t want to see the future of the home put in jeopardy.

We have been able to encourage Najwa and her team as we have now raised over £30,000. As we have also received some large pledges we can help them with ongoing monthly expenses.
