Thank you!
We are grateful to all of our supporters who contributed the magnificent sum of £143,800 in support our featured projects during 2007. Your donations are making a real difference to so many children. With your help, we will continue helping those in need we encounter on our travels.
Amongst those we helped:
Al Shurooq Blind School in Bethlehem is home to 25 blind or partially sighted children. We have helped by sending grants in excess of £20,000. The current priority is to help furnish the dormitories in their new building due for completion in August. Read more in www.nsfvh.org
Jeel Al Amal School & Boys Home in Bethany educates 600 local children through primary school and accommodates 80 boys in residential accommodation. Last year, we were able to send gifts in excess of £25,000 and we are building up a fund which this year will pay for urgently needed repairs. This summer, in co-operation with Unipal, the Trust is planning a summer school in Bethany.
Lazarus Home for Girls also in Bethany is home to 25 girls. Last year our assistance totalled more than £25,000. Our priority in 2008 will be to help with the completion and furnishing of their new building.
The Bethlehem Arab Society for Rehabilitation in Bethlehem is one of the main social work institutions helping young and old alike. Your generosity enabled us to send gifts in excess of £25,000 to enable their highly skilled staff to continue a wonderful work amidst great need.
Anand Niwas Boys Home in India is a new project recently adopted and the Trust has made a commitment to look after 50 boys. With your help, it is our ambition to increase this number to 100.
