Thank you for helping us to raise £75,000!
We are very encouraged by the response to our Christmas Appeal which at the time of writing has raised £75,000. Our aim is to raise £85,000 which enables us to maintain our support for our key projects in 2021 so that they can ride out the storm during this current pandemic.
Your can read our latest newsletter here.
Our last Holy Land pilgrimage travelled in March 2020 and a vital link between McCabe travellers and our projects was interrupted. Jeel al Amal and Al Shurooq schools in particular, miss the encouraging visits from McCabe pilgrims. These visits very often led to practical support so, financially, they have also felt the difference, with the Covid pandemic adding significantly to costs and creating practical challenges.
Lynne and I retired at Christmas from day-to-day involvement in McCabe Pilgrimages, which means we will have more time to devote to our voluntary work with the Trust. Paul & Rosemary now run McCabe Pilgrimages and we will stay in touch.
The MET remains at the ‘heart and soul’ of McCabe Pilgrimages and we look forward to helping to maintain and develop the Trust’s work, which would be so much more difficult without the support of generous pilgrims.
Wishing you a Happy New Year
Alistair and Lynne McCabe
