Travelling with St Paul — in Greece

This pilgrimage follows closely Paul's own itinerary, as described in the Book of Acts (chapters 16–18), after he landed at Neapolis — modern Kavala — on his second missionary journey. Accompanied by Silas and Timothy, he travelled through Philippi, Thessalonica and Berea, then southwards through Athens to Corinth. We visit each of these places in the same order, truly retracing the footsteps of St Paul — the very places where he preached and baptised, where Lydia became Europe's first Christian convert, and where he proclaimed the Unknown God to the philosophers on the Areopagus.

Along the way we marvel at the soaring monasteries of Meteora, the haunting ruins of Nicopolis and the sacred sanctuary at Delphi. Worship and reflection are woven through every day, led by Revd Alison Shaw.
