Turkey
Turkey lies at the heart of the New Testament and our understanding of the early Christian Church is deepened at places such as Ephesus, Miletus and Laodicea. The paths of St Paul and St John interweave and our journey brings their story vividly to life.
In the Holy Land we visit sites associated with the birth, life, ministry, death and resurrection of Our Lord. Visiting Turkey is different. We gain a fresh insight into the Early Church and trace the spread of Christianity in the years following Pentecost. Our tour of Turkey provides an introduction to the classical world of Greek and Roman architecture and culture, alongside the realities of life in a secular state, with the predominant religion being Islam. But for the Christian pilgrim there is much more: it is a journey to the origins of our faith and a window into the history of our Church.
