Sordevolo Passion Play 2027
This unique pilgrimage takes us to the heart of northern Italy, combining sacred sites, beautiful landscapes and a living tradition of faith. Based at the Oropa Sanctuary, the largest and most important Marian shrine in the Alps, we journey through Turin, Lake Orta and Assisi, with time for worship, reflection and discovery along the way.
At the centre of the pilgrimage is the extraordinary Passione di Sordevolo. Every five years, the entire village comes together to stage an open-air performance of the Passion of Christ, a tradition that has been faithfully handed down since 1816. With exclusive behind-the-scenes access, a visit to the Passion Museum and the opportunity to attend the performance itself, this is a deeply moving and unforgettable experience.
Blending prayer, culture and community, this pilgrimage offers a rare opportunity to encounter faith not only in historic churches and sanctuaries, but lived and expressed through the people and places we visit.
