 I invite you to join me on our third supporters pilgrimage to the Holy Land. We have kept the cost to a minimum by cajoling our partners into subsidising the event which is designed to raise funds for projects supported by The McCabe Educational Trust. As always, the emphasis will be on fellowship both with each other and with our partners in the Holyland. This year we have changed the format and our walk will be along the shore of the Sea of Galilee. Also, this time around, we will spend four nights in Bethlehem gaining a real insight into life in a West Bank town. This is an opportunity to join a pilgrimage with a difference, where the emphasis is on people and not places. The cost of this tour is a subsidised £845 sharing a twin-bedded room with private facilities. In addition we ask everybody to raise a minimum of £300 sponsorship for our sponsored walk. We begin in Tiberias with three nights at the McCabe base in the Galilee, the four star Ron Beach Hotel, in a wonderful situation right on the lakeside. We then spend four nights in Bethlehem at the new four star Grand Park Hotel situated close to Manger Square.

Sponsored Walk
THE CHALLENGE
We are asking all participants to raise a minimum of £300 sponsorship. All money raised will be given in full to projects supported by The McCabe Educational Trust.
THE SPONSORED WALK
This will be a relaxed walk of about 8 miles. As with all of our sponsored walks the emphasis is on participation. All abilities will be able to take part. A coach will accompany us, and those unable to walk long distances will walk the parts they can and be transported the rest of the way.

McCabe Educational Trust
The McCabe Educational Trust is the charitable wing of McCabe Pilgrimages. Our aim is to give something back to the people who have inspired us on our journeys. During the last five years, one million pounds has been raised by travellers and given to projects we support! During our week in the Holy Land you will have the privilege of meeting some of the inspirational people the Trust is working with.

Travel information
We have tried to make this experience very accessible. The sponsored walk is suitable for all ages and requires only a moderate level of fitness. Choose sturdy shoes and be prepared for possible rain, wind or sunshine! We envisage the walk lasting between three and five hours with groups of participants choosing their own pace and rest stops. Participation is our aim, not a race or feat of endurance. |
Travel Insurance
The travel insurance premium is £59. This policy has no age limit so is excellent value for older travellers. Younger travellers may find less expensive cover elsewhere, which is fine, but all travellers should purchase a travel insurance policy. If required, please add the premium to your deposit payment.
