I am Alison Shaw, a recently retired Vicar who loves exploring and introducing others to exciting and interesting places. I have had the pleasure of working and travelling with McCabe In the Holy Land and Europe over the last ten years or so.
As a teenager and into adult life, I have been privileged to explore more of Europe, the Canaries, Malta, Turkey, Russia, the Middle East , Africa and Australasia, and only last autumn relished an archaeological journey to the Peloponnese – which was a rich feast of sites, sights, sounds and the hospitable Greek people.
I am looking forward to this tour because I hope to put into some context through our worship and conversation the figures from the New Testament who regarded Patmos as their home, and also in historical terms as a base and a bridge for their influence to spread across the known world.
I know we will have a delightful and memorable holiday on these beautiful Greek islands and I look forward to meeting you.
