An Invitation to visit India & Nepal
The McCabe Educational Trust has long standing relationships with two schools in India and one in Nepal. Next year McCabe Pilgrimages are offering supporters the opportunity to visit these schools and see why we are passionate about our involvement in their work.
In March, Alistair McCabe will lead a party to India to visit Dr Graham’s Homes in Kalimpong and his uncle’s school near Lucknow. In November, the Revd Geoff Crago will travel to Nepal to visit the school we helped build, high in the Himalayas at Daduwa. Brochures have been prepared for both tours and are now available.
Two opportunities to travel on holiday with a purpose with like-minded people

A Journey to Kalimpong 9 – 19 March 2015
We fly from Heathrow, Manchester or Glasgow to Calcutta. Time to see the sights before heading north to Darjeeling and Kalimpong and the main object of our journey, an in-depth visit to Dr Graham’s Homes. Here a proud history of supporting needy anglo-Indian children continues with around 330 pupils being given a future thanks to the generosity of supporters around the world.
You have the choice of finishing the journey at a spa hotel on the outskirts of Calcutta or extending your stay to join Alistair on a visit to the McCabe Educational Trust supported Anand Niwas Boys Home, set off the beaten track about three hours drive from the city of Lucknow. This is an opportunity to meet and encourage the Revd Andrew McCabe MBE who has faithfully served in this area as a missionary for the past sixty-five years.
A JOURNEY TO NEPAL 1 – 15 November 2015
This tour is very different from our Kalimpong adventure as the emphasis here is on enjoying the wonders of Nepal and in particular the Begnas Lake Resort, a firm favourite of McCabe travellers.
A highlight will be a full day visit to the McCabe Educational Trust supported Daduwa School, situated at an altitude of 6,000 feet in the Himalayan foothills near Begnas.
Make a difference
For more than 25 years, the McCabe Educational Trust has been creating partnerships with inspiring people we have met on pilgrimage.
A special thank you to McCabe pilgrims who helped us raise £11,000 during April, making a total of £103,534 raised so far this year. For more information about our work, do have a look at the Trust pages on the McCabe website.
