A HAPPY NEW YEAR FROM McCabe’s
A special THANK-YOU to McCabe pilgrims who helped us raise a total of £207,628 during 2012.
All of this money was distributed with just over sixty per cent going to Jerusalem and Bethlehem projects and forty per cent to our partners in India and Nepal.
Andy Webster is back from his travels
We welcome Andy Webster back from his Sabbatical break. After twenty years service to the company, Andy’s time out was certainly well deserved. Travels included Australia, Cambodia, Azerbaijan and of course Jerusalem where he spent time with Unipal, a charity who organise volunteer teaching groups in Palestinian refugee camps. But Andy would readily agree the highlight of his Summer was being a Games Maker at both the Olympic and Paralympic games. His Arabic came in useful when he was assigned to the Egyptian and United Arab Emirates teams as driver and general dogsbody! January sees Andy back on familiar territory accompanying a leaders’ introductory pilgrimage to the Holy Land.
Lynne McCabe who stepped into Andy’s shoes last year, will continue working beside Andy in 2013.
Nada Nashashibi is going on maternity leave, with a baby boy expected in March. We wish her well and know that she will be missed, not least for her brochure design and website skills as well as her very able administration of The McCabe Educational Trust.
With Alistair, Rosemary, Andy, Lynne, Letty and Rachel, we begin a New Year with a wealth of experience waiting to assist you with your next pilgrimage.
The McCabe Educational Trust, for more than twenty years has been creating partnerships with inspiring people we have met on pilgrimage.
The last five years in particular have been remarkable with more than one million pounds distributed to the people and projects we support.
Without your help this would not have been possible
From all of the people we are helping … A BIG THANK-YOU !
