We are CELEBRATING 30 years of McCabe Pilgrimages

with a week in the Holy land

featuring the 2014 Jerusalem Sponsored Walk

We invite friends and supporters to join us next year in Jerusalem as we celebrate 30 years of McCabe in the Holy Land.  We plan a week of visits with a central focus of a sponsored walk raising awareness and funds for projects supported by The McCabe Educational Trust.

 

This event is a repeat of a highly successful event in 2012 when we raised £60,000 for projects supported by The McCabe Educational Trust. To get a feel for what to expect, you can watch a slide and music presentation which was produced by Angus McCabe.  Click here

 

THE WEEK

The cost of this tour is a subsidised £750 plus minimum sponsorship of £300. Included are flights from various airports, accommodation, meals and a programme of visits to pilgrimage sites and projects supported by The McCabe Educational Trust.  Participants already signed up include Trustees of our charity, staff of McCabe Pilgrimages, tour organisers past and present, regular travellers and supporters of our charity. We are looking forward to a memorable event.

OUR SPONSORED WALK

Our walk will take us around the Old City walls and into the city itself and will feature visits to key places of pilgrimage.  We have tried to make this experience accessible to all and requiring only a moderate level of fitness. Distance walked will vary with some walking further than others. We envisage the walk lasting three to four hours including visits en route.  You will be given an official sponsorship form for you to collect support.  You can choose to raise money generally for the work of the McCabe Educational Trust or for one particular project, that for instance you may have visited on pilgrimage.  You can emphasize to your supporters that all of the money raised, without deduction, will be used to help needy children.

 

THE FIRST STEP
