Organise a Pilgrimage

Pilgrimage is ALL we do and in 2013 we celebrated our thirtieth year in business – so we must be doing something right! We work with all denominations and are happy to tailor every pilgrimage to the needs of each particular church. For instance, some parties would plan one or two Eucharists during their pilgrimage but others will choose a daily celebration. In the Holy Land, your focus may be the Galilean ministry or a re-creation of Holy Week in Jerusalem. You tell us what your particular interest is and we will recommend an itinerary

Look at some itineraries

If you browse the Our Pilgrimages section of this website you can look at some actual itineraries (with prices) that we are currently arranging. The Holy Land is the central focus of McCabe’s, but you will also find pilgrimages we are arranging to many other destinations.

First steps

Choose a destination. Think about when you would like to travel and have a look at the supporting pages in this section of the website. Twelve to fifteen months lead in time to a pilgrimage is normal. Our minimum independent group size is fifteen and generous concessions are available for the pilgrimage leaders.

Our recommendation

We do have a tried and tested recommended programme for each destination and we will always send you this as a starting point. For instance we think ten days is ideal for a holy Land pilgrimage with six nights spent in Jerusalem and three nights in the Galilee and ideal months to travel are February through May and September through November. Best departure days are Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

Introductory Experience

Every January and June we conduct Leaders Introductory pilgrimages to the Holyland and occasionally to other destinations. This is absolutely the best way to prepare for a pilgrimage. Prices are heavily subsidized and eligibility is restricted to clergy and their partners. Follow the link here for more details.
