This page tells the story of a McCabe Educational Trust fund-raising initiative in January 2012.
We would like to thank all who helped us raise the magnificent total of £60,000.
We will leave the details of the event here as an inspiration perhaps for our next fund-raising adventure!
We invite you to join us next year on a week in Jerusalem raising awareness and funds for three McCabe Educational Trust supported projects in Jerusalem and Bethlehem.
In one memorable week, you will meet the people behind three of our trust’s principal projects and participate in a sponsored walk raising funds for these same projects.
Our featured projects are:
* The Jeel Al Amal Boys Home in Bethany
* The Al Shurooq Blind School in Bethlehem
* The Bethlehem Arab Society for Rehabilitation

A WEEK IN TH HOLYLAND VISITING PROJECTS SUPPORTED BY THE McCABE EDUCATIONAL TRUST
26 January - 2 February 2012
The cost of this tour is a heavily subsidised £650 plus minimum sponsorship of £300. Included are flights, accommodation, meals and a programme of visits focusing in particular on the three projects we are raising funds for.
Participants already signed up include Trustees of our charity, staff of McCabe Pilgrimages and, in Jerusalem, members of the Albina family and the owner of the Golden Walls hotel. We are looking forward to a memorable event.
OUR SPONSORED WALK
Our theme is Trinity and our walk will take us three times around the walled old city of Jerusalem. Total distance about seven miles. Everyone can take the walk at their own pace and we envisage the walk lasting between three and five hours. You will be given an official sponsorship form for you to collect support. All of the money raised will go to the projects we will visit during our week in the Holy Land. None of it will be used for administration or travel costs.
