The ideal way to see the tombs and temples of Egypt is to visit them as the Pharaohs did - by river. Cruising the Nile is not only by far the most stress-free way of travelling between the sights of Egypt - it also offers a fascinating glimpse of a timeless world, cruising amidst the white triangular sails of trading feluccas and passing villages and farms where little seems to have changed in five thousand years.
We begin and end our tours in Cairo with visits to the pyramids and sphinx and the treasures at the Egyptian museum including Tutankhamun’s solid gold death mask. We also tour Coptic Cairo and many groups include the Anglican school for the Deaf, which warmly welcomes visitors. We then fly south to Luxor and join our Nile Cruiser for the four night sail to Aswan, with some groups opting for a longer sail and staying on board for the three night return sail to Luxor.
McCabe itineraries feature a full programme of sightseeing with guide and entrance fees. All meals are also included - even afternoon tea on board your cruiser! Flights are with Egyptair from London Heathrow to Cairo and on to Luxor, returning from Aswan to Cairo and back to London Heathrow.
A Nile Cruise is still one of the classic journeys in the world !
